Sacsayhuaman is one of the most impressive historical sites in Cusco. It was designed for ceremonial activities, and several of the large structures on the site may have been used during rituals.
Qenqo, etymologically meaning labyrinth or zigzag, served a purely religious role. On the outside, you’ll see a semicircular amphitheater with trapezoidal niches and a monolith that looks like a puma, measuring about six feet high.
Pucapucara it is located six miles from the city of Cusco, Puca means etymologically: Red, and Pucara lookout fort; this small town has all the characteristics that it was a military fort.
Tambomachay, this town is believed to have been used as a temple to water. There are some very impressive canals, aqueducts and cascades carved into the stone, designed to channel water from a nearby stream.
The ruins of Pisac are the ones with the most spectacular views of the Inkan landscapes, also known as Inka Pisac. The ruins are located on the hills at the entrance to the valley. You’ll see beautiful agricultural terraces built by the Inkas and still in use today.
